So, I went with some classmates to go see one of the LA showings of the product design documenary, “Objectified”; made by the same person that did “Helvetica”. Refer to this post for the trailer and background information. We got there unnecessarily early and walked a block or two to this great cafe, Qusqo. (More info) They had great happy hour deals and the vibe was incredible. The food was also AMAZING, and the desert… ambrosial to say the least; three types of sherbet molded into an egg shape and shelled in white chocolate whilst drizzled with milk chocolate. Can you say yum? Here are a few pictures from eating and waiting for the film to begin. Oh, and the film was great too; along with being able to question the Director afterwards.

So, now I’m back in school and have been keeping pretty busy with everything. This week has been pretty entertaining and I have a few pictures to show for it. I took a class field trip to a wood supply place that was pretty interesting, although the best part was seeing the owner’s war memoribilia collection (which included things from when he served as well as his family). And also went to Johnny Rockets then to another class.

It’s been almost two months since my last past so I am going to be lazy with this and show a ton of pics from the past couple of months to give you an idea of what has been going on in my life.
These are pictures from rides, baking, shooting, disneyland, parties, and my trip to michigan.
So right I’m blogging on the run, I’m waiting for 8 oclock to roll around so that I can board my flight to Michigan. I’m pretty excited to see my cousins and grandparents and I can’t wait to take a ton of pictures. In other news, I’m done with my finals and am not really pumped on how they ended but am glad that they’re over. Oh yeah, I forgot that I got into a fender bender this past Saturday to add to the stress of finals. Here are some pictures from the past week.
So, I just ordered a camera today and boy am I excited that I’ll have a new one by the end of the week (hopefully). I really just wanted another durable point and shoot that took good quality pictures, and my friend Taylor Corner directed me to the Canon Powershot SD870IS. Having worked a few days a week lately I have enough to buy it and then some and am now thoroughly stoked.

Sounds good, right? No.. not really. Tomorrow I’m working at “the Angus” and am not stoked about it. I just want the holidays to be over already, I’m so sick of them. The post couple of days I have felt like a complete Scrooge and I could give a shit less, oh well. Now to save up money for a new camera (since mine broke on Saturday) and hopefully a new track frame.
In other news, my grandmother came down from Arizona today and will be staying for a week or so. Also, not this Saturday but the next I will HOPEFULLY be getting certified to ride the velodrome… should be exciting. Now.. I think I’m going to get my grumpy self into bed. Grr…

This weekend has been filled with sketching, photoshop rendering, and a teeny bit of relaxation. With finals upon me, I’ve been working on homework, but not as thoroughly as I need to. Going out to dinner with the folks tonight didn’t help with that at all, but it was a nice evening. Lately it has been pretty frigid over here in Southern California (I know that’s not saying much coming from a native), but hanging out in a house that has been 64 degrees for the past couple of days has had me wearing sweaters and slippers at all hours. Tonight’s sunset though… so gorgeous. Definitely couldn’t help but take a picture of it. So here are some pictures from the last couple of days, and a song that I have found featuring Ingrid Michealson, a very talented singer/song writer that I enjoy listening to.

My what a long week this has been. So much has happened and it’s only Thursday! My Dad and Sister are driving out to Arizona today to meet up with my Mom, and apparently I’m not going out anymore; so that’s a bummer. Final presentations are next week for school, so I’m sort of stressing over that. But, I somehow managed hang out with some friends after class today and get some funny/cool pics. The one of the riverbed in Anaheim I like a lot. I’m going to have to bring out the big cup o’ coffee for this next week. Uugh.

A field trip to Costa Mesa was had this afternoon to sell the “It’s Not a Pake” to skate squid, Miquel. And then ended up involving BabyBell drinkin’ babybeers and Corey taking Martinelli’s straight to the dome! Success all around; especially when using a COG to open a non-alcoholic beverage. DIALED!
