This is an update, since I am extremely over due for one. I will be graduating next week!!! So, I have a portfolio show and am getting everything ready for it. along with taking breaks to have lunches with friends and the occasional Disneyland trip. :] here are some photos from the last few months..
Here are some pictures from the last month or so. My birthday is coming up and I’m not too excited I guess, especially since finals are next week… Yikes. So here’s how I’ve been procrastinating.

So, I went with some classmates to go see one of the LA showings of the product design documenary, “Objectified”; made by the same person that did “Helvetica”. Refer to this post for the trailer and background information. We got there unnecessarily early and walked a block or two to this great cafe, Qusqo. (More info) They had great happy hour deals and the vibe was incredible. The food was also AMAZING, and the desert… ambrosial to say the least; three types of sherbet molded into an egg shape and shelled in white chocolate whilst drizzled with milk chocolate. Can you say yum? Here are a few pictures from eating and waiting for the film to begin. Oh, and the film was great too; along with being able to question the Director afterwards.
So, something very interesting happened this week; besides Corey coming back from spending two weeks in Hawaii doing work. I have obtained a tattoo machine, well two really. And Corey has been crazy enough to request that I use his thigh for practicing. YIKES! So, I’ve been doing a lot of research and getting a better grasp on things and learning as much as possible. But, I have already given him three tattoos. I’m re-working the first one, the palm tree scene, once it heals; the second piece was a slice of pizza where I got to play with color and shading, the third one I did yesterday and it’s a shaded monotone cowboy hat with some filler around it. Here are some pictures of my equipment and what I did. I’m going to buy so fruits to practice on so that I don’t completely fill up Corey’s leg, and I’m going to work on my line work a ton, because I find shading a whole lot easier and more fun.
This past week has been pretty full, some cycling here, disneyland there, and crafty shit. Did the Taco Tuesday group ride, which was fun. Registered for next quarter and found out that my graduation is going to be pushed back to December.. :/. Worked on some projects in the shop at school and some tradeshow sketches. Also, revived Classy Fridays for an extra classy ride where people dressed up (some with ties, me with a skirt ha ha); although there is no documentation of my outfit. 😀 Also, Corey and I rawed my frame Thursday and Friday, with Corey doing a large majority of the work (thanks). Now, to try and get some homework done before work. Uugh.

For the past day or so I have been using my Mother’s camera since she hardly uses it and have taken just a couple of pictures. I also finished a rendering in photoshop of a kiosk for my tradeshow class (for the company Luceplan @ http://luceplan.com) in an hour or so. Pretty simple but it works.
